A few months ago, three of us went to the Four Seasons Toronto in the tony Yorkville area. It was after work, we sat down and all ordered an Old Fashioned. Welcome to the real world of Mad Men! OK the cherries we had were absolutely to die for. Instead of being your regular red glow-in-the-dark maraschino cherries that you buy at your local grocery, they were Italian amarena cherries. We couldn't believe our taste buds, they were absolutely phenomenal. So we set out to find them and it was really challenging! In the end we found them in little holes in the wall and I took up the challenge to source them with the goal of sharing them through a website. It's kind of hilarious because over the last few months, on photo shoots and elsewhere, even people that say they don't like red drink cherries try them and ask, "Where on earth do I buy that??!" So kind of a fun background story to get the site and blog kicked off and I'm excited to bring in lifestyle, food and fashion themes to make it more interesting.
